Rehabilitation Centre for Blind Women, Mannarpuram Trichy, is a model institution. Rendering Rehabilitation service for adult blind women for the past 35 years. More than 500 womens have been benefited through the services of this institution and are now leading a meaning full life throughout Tamil Nadu. Many of them are teachers in schools and colleges, some of them are engaged as receptionists, telephone operators and some are self employed. Most of the blind girls have got married and happily settled in their life.
This is a home of hopes centre for enlightenment in thought and action, opening a new life leading a road towards liberation and empowerment for visually challenged girls. This centre provides Vocational training, Technical training, Educational services and Placement services for visually challenged women. The centre was started on 14th July 1975 to commemorate 75th birthday of its founder Dr. Joseph gnadickam and mark international women’s year. Honorary director Mrs. Priya theodore welcomes you.
